Ciklum  is looking for a Solution Architect  to join our team full-time in Ukraine.

About the role :

As a Solution Architect, you'll join the architecture force behind Client’s Brand and Product Creation Foundation Technologies. You’ll architect future-ready solutions supporting master data management, data streams, and reusable common services – all while playing a pivotal dual role : a Solution Architect and a Technical Analyst.

Responsibilities

  • Architecture & Design : Design scalable, secure, and high-performing solutions in Java and AWS Apply event-driven and microservice architecture patterns Ensure compliance with architecture governance and documentation standards Support development teams in architecture implementation and code quality Stakeholder Collaboration Engage with business and technical stakeholders to gather, analyze, and refine requirements Lead whiteboarding and solution discovery sessions Translate business needs into technical specifications and validate feasibility
  • Data-Centric Development : Work across foundational services involving data streams, master data, and reusable backend capabilities Ensure data integrity and lifecycle consistency across multiple systems
  • DevOps & Infrastructure : Leverage containerization (Kubernetes) and CI / CD pipelines for smooth deployments Integrate with messaging systems (Kafka preferred) and various storage solutions (SQL / NoSQL)
  • Leadership & Mentorship : Guide developers, review designs and support teams on architectural decisions Ensure alignment with the Client`s technical standards and delivery methodologies

Requirements

  • Experience : 5+ years in solution architecture design 10+ years in hands-on Java backend development Proven ability to serve as a Technical Analyst
  • Technical Skills : Java, AWS (core services), Kubernetes Experience with data modeling, API design, and event-driven systems CI / CD, messaging systems (Kafka), and storage architecture (SQL, NoSQL)
  • Language : Fluent in English (written and spoken)

    • Desirable

  • Experience with : Data Lakes, Elasticsearch, infrastructure as code Agile / Scrum or SAFe delivery frameworks
  • Certifications : TOGAF, AWS, or other relevant architecture / delivery credentials

  • Proficiency in requirement gathering and technical documentation
