Senior Software Developer Back-end (Java)

Job Description

We are looking for a Senior Software Developer Back-end (Java) to deliver scalable and high performing solutions (microservices) to support the AUTODOC business needs. You will drive our migration from a legacy monolith to a modern cloud-based ecosystem using Java, Kafka, and PostgreSQL.

Responsibilities

• Work on the migration from PHP monoliths to the new microservice architecture
• Design and implementation of microservices - Java, Kafka, PostgreSQL
• Test-driven development and Test Automation
• Service monitoring, alerting, and incident mitigation - Grafana and Open Telemetry
• Align technical decisions with other Senior Engineers from other teams

Qualifications

• 7 years+ of work experience as a Java/Kotlin
• Experience with Postgres, MongoDB, and working with large data volumes
• Experience in software development, supporting the design and development of large-scale, distributed software applications - Kafka is a plus
• Experience with microservices and cloud architectures - Google Cloud Platform, Kubernetes, Docker
• Knowledge of architecture/design methods and patterns, data and API specifications, quality assurance, and testing methods - SOLID, OOP
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to apply logical and analytical thinking to complex problems
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work autonomously in a team environment
• English upper-intermediate (B2)
